To install Norton Secure VPN on your system, please follow the steps below:
- Open your web browser and navigate to https://norton.com/wifi-privacy
- Sign in to your Norton account.
- Enter your credentials (username and password) to sign in, and then click on Sign In.
- Go to My Norton
- Navigate to the section Secure VPN and then click on
- Now follow the steps below as per your operating system:
- If you are a Windows user, open your Downloads folder and run the Norton Secure VPN installer file that you just downloaded. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Norton Secure VPN on your device.
- If you are a Mac user, drag the installer dmg file into the Applications
- Double-click to launch the Norton Secure VPN program on your computer.
- Sign in to your Norton Account from the program to start using Norton Secure VPN on your computer.
How to install Norton Secure VPN on Android and iOS devices
- If you are an Android user, go to the Play Store. Tap on the Google Play icon on the home screen.
- If you are an iOS user, go to the Apple Store. Tap on the Apple Store icon on the home screen.
- Search for Norton Secure VPN in the Play Store or the Apple Store by typing Norton Secure VPN in the search bar.
- If you are an Android user, tap on Install to install Norton Secure VPN on your device.
- If you are an iOS user, tap Get and then tap Sign in to the Apple Store with your Apple ID and credentials.
- If you are prompted with the dialog box Norton Secure VPN Would Like to Add VPN Configurations, please tap on Allow to permit the app to make VPN configurations. This is extremely important for the app to run optimally.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the configuration.
- Lastly, sign in to Norton Secure VPN for mobile with your Norton Account credentials (username and password that you use to sign in to your Norton Account).
How to verify whether VPN is working on your device
- Open your browser and go to https://www.whatismyip.com/
- Take note of the IP address and your location details. They will be mentioned on the left side of the page.
- To view more details, you may click on My IP Information
- Activate your VPN service. Go to Norton 360 window and next to the Secure VPN, click on Turn On from the dropdown menu.
- For mobile users, go to Secure VPN app homepage and click on Turn On VPN to turn on the VPN service. By default, Norton Secure VPN is always turned on after successful installation of Norton Secure VPN on Android or iOS devices.
- Now open your browser again and enter the URL: https://www.whatismyip.com/
- You will be able to see your new IP address and your location as per the IP Address that you are using. If this has changed from your previous information, then your VPN service is working as expected.
