Print or scan issues : problem with your printer’s components

Print or scan issues : problem with your printer’s components : Printing a page of paper is more than just that. It involves a lot of motor and mechanical movements and in that process, every single movable part ensures to work at its highest precision. If a movable part, for example- a motor, fails to align itself properly or mistimes its movement, the entire printing process may get hampered, resulting in print or scan issues. Most of these printer components work in complete synchronization and stops or suspend their activity when there is no printing or scanning in progress. Generally, the prime issues take place when a printer is not cleaned or serviced for a long duration.

To enable a better understanding of this matter, we need to know the various parts within the printer which allows a print command to execute successfully. Some notable movable parts within a printer are:

  1. Print head stepper motor- The motors help in moving the print head back and forth during the printing process. Various printer models also have a parking zone that comes to good use when the printer is suspended and not in use.
  2. Rollers- These movable parts make sure to trap the paper in proper position and help in pushing or rolling the paper during the printing process with proper alignment.
  3. Print head- This is the most important part of the printer. It contains a stack of nozzles that sprays the ink on the page inside the printer.
  4. Belt- It is a movable component that attaches the print head to the stepper motor.
  5. Stabilizer bar- The stabilizer bar ensures that the printing process is accurate and aligned and that all the components are working in full synchronization.
  6. Paper feed stepper motor– This stepper motor uses incremental techniques to print a page in continuity.
  7. Power supply- Although the power supply itself is not a movable component, the circuitry inside it has moving parts which require exact precision to maintain power stability during the process of printing.

All the aforementioned components need proper maintenance. A serious failure of any of these components may cause print or scan issues. However, if managed properly, the device will run at its optimal potential. To make sure that your printer is performing at its true potential, you have to configure the printer properly or seek a professional print and scan support team that can assist you in this process.
