Where do I find WPS Pin to setup printer

Where do I find WPS Pin to setup printer : A WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a type of wireless setup environment that can establish a connection between two terminals or devices in a much faster and secure manner. There are two types of security protocols for WPS connection- one is WPA Personal and the other one is WPA2. Most recent HP printers support WPS-enabled Wireless technology in order to print documents from a computer over the same wireless network. The print and scan process is swift, easy and accurate. You may travel anywhere and yet you may use your personal printer to issue printing orders using HP Cloud technology or HP Smart.

In order to set up the wireless connection, you need to enable WPS and connect to your printer using the security key or the PIN password of the setup environment. This can also be done with the simple push of a button- the WPS switch.

Therefore, a WPS connection has two methods:

  1. WPS PIN
  2. WPS push button

In this article, we will explain to you how to set up and enable WPS using the two different methods.

How to find the WPS Pin

  1. In the Windows 10 Operating System, Go to Home and then click on Settings.
  2. Now select Network Settings under the settings tab.
  3. First, go to Internet Settings and then select Wireless.
  4. Choose the option to manually register and then select WPS Pin.
  5. From the presented list of SSID’s, select your network’s SSID and continue.
  6. The receiver’s Pin code will display on the monitor. It is an 8-digit code. You should stay on this screen until the connection completes successfully.
  7. Enter the receiver’s Pin code into the LAN router.
  8. The receiver will start to connect to the selected network.

Establishing a connection with the printer with the help of a WPS PIN

  1. Tap the wireless button on the printer’s control panel. Then go to settings.
  2. Tap the Wi-Fi Protected Setup option and then follow the on-screen instructions to enable the WPS environment.

  4. Now access the configuration panel or the WAP (Wireless Access Point) or the router’s software. You will have to enter the PIN after this step.
  5. Once the above steps are completed, you will need to go to the HP folder which belongs to the printer and go to Printer Setup and Software. To establish the network between the printer and your computer and install its driver, you have to select Connect A New Printer option.

You shall now be able to use WPS for issuing print or scan commands to the printer.
