How to install a brand new Epson printer : Installing a brand new Epson printer is relatively easier than those of other brands. The availability of numerous Epson ready-to-go apps contributes to the ease of installation of Epson printers. In this tutorial, we will explain to you how to install a brand new Epson printer on your computer with the Windows operating system.
Unpacking and powering on the Epson printer
Please ensure to take extreme caution when unpacking your Epson printer. Any damage to the printer may void your warranty.
- Unpack the product box.
- Open the sealing elements by cutting them with a sharp cutter. Be careful not to dig the cutter too deep as it can damage sensitive or delicate parts of the printer inside the box.
- Take out the printer and remove any tapes from the printer body, the paper tray, the system tray and the backside of the printer.
- Make sure that the switches on the power source are set to Switched Off.
- Take out the connecting cables (power cable and USB connector) from the printer box and connect the printer to the main power source with the AC power cable. Plug in the USB cable to the printer and the computer to establish the output connection with the computer.
- If your printer is wireless, you do not need to connect the USB cable.
- Switch on the printer and test if it is powering on.
Take extreme caution in removing the tapes from the sensitive areas of the printer, especially the paper tray and the system tray. Do not apply too much force to open/close/move any component inside the printer.

Turn on your computer and make sure that the printer is powered on. Follow the steps below to install a brand new Epson wireless printer.
- Use the printer’s LED panel to turn on the wireless option from its settings page. On a standard Epson printer, this will be located under Settings > Wireless LAN Settings.
- Now choose your Wi-fi network and connect to it.
- Enter the password to connect to the Wi-fi network.
