Before we begin, let’s verify the requirements for installing Webroot SecureAnywhere on your computer. If your computer specifications match the minimum requirements for installation, please proceed to the installation steps that are given below.
Pre-requisites: Before you start to install
- Please ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for installing Webroot SecureAnywhere:
- Intel® Pentium®/Celeron® family, or AMD®K6/Athlon™/Duron™ family, or other compatible processors
- 128 MB RAM (minimum)
- 10 MB Hard Disk Space
- Internet access

- Ensure that you are connected to high-speed internet. You may use any of the latest web browsers to download and install Webroot SecureAnywhere.
- You need to have a valid keycode for activating Webroot SecureAnywhere. You will find the 20 digit alphanumeric code on your product retail box or delivered to you via email to your registered email address. This will help you to activate your product.
If you have a multi-license key, then you can use the same product key to activate Webroot SecureAnywhere on multiple computers or mobile devices. - If you do not have the product key, or you have lost the product key, you may ask for resending the product key by clicking here: http://www.webroot.com/us/en/redownloads
- You will have to uninstall any previous versions of Webroot SecureAnywhere.
- If you have any other antivirus on your system, you need to uninstall them as well to prevent product conflicts.
Steps to install Webroot SecureAnywhere on your PC
- Initiate the installation from the provided product CD or the downloaded file.
- If you received a retail version of the product, you will have to install the product from the provided CD/DVD. Insert the CD/DVD in the DVD-ROM drive and double-click on the ROM icon to begin the installation process.
- If you have registered for a digital copy, please download the installer file from here: http://anywhere.webrootcloudav.com/zerol/wsainstall.exe
- After downloading the installer file, double-click on the file to begin the installation.
- If you have purchased the product from BestBuy, click here to download the installer: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/land-geeksquad-dl.html. Double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation.
- When the installer window opens, enter the 20-digit alphanumeric product key. You may click on the advanced installation options at the bottom of the installer window to change the installation directory, randomize the installation name, creating a shortcut to Webroot on desktop, change the language, and more.
- Click on Agree and Install.
- If a UAC popup opens, click on Yes to grant access.
- Enter the registered email address to continue.
- Agree to the license Click to view the Webroot SecureAnywhere Solution Agreement.
- Click on Agree and Continue. Webroot SecureAnywhere will initiate its first scanning process and configure the application.
- If Webroot SecureAnywhere detects an infection, it will move the infected file to the quarantine. In this quarantine box, the file is rendered inoperable and can no longer cause any harm to your computer.
If it finds that your system is clean, you will get the message You are Protected! - Click Start using SecureAnywhere to go to the main window of Webroot SecureAnywhere.
Steps to install Webroot SecureAnywhere on your macOS
- Click here: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/wsa-installer-download. This will take you to the installer file for macOS.
- Click on download. Once the download completes, open
- Double-click on Webroot SecureAnywhere icon.
- In the new popup, click Open to open the app.
- Select your language preference and click Next to continue.
- Enter your product key code. Then, click on Agree and Install.
- Confirm your macOS username and password to continue.
- Click Open System Preferences.
- Go to Security and Privacy and click on Privacy.
- From the app-list on the left, select Full Disk Access.
- Now you have to unlock the access. If the padlock icon displays as locked, click on it. Re-enter your macOS username and password and click Unlock.

- From the new window, select
- Select Webroot SecureAnywhere. Select Open.
- Select the checkbox that is located next to Webroot SecureAnywhere. A new popup will display.
- Click Quit Now.
- Return to the Webroot SecureAnywhere installer and click Next.
- Click on Install Extension.
- Once the installation is complete, click on Finish. Webroot SecureAnywhere has been installed on your macOS.

Please note that SecureAnywhere will continue daily scans in the background to keep your system protected. You do not need to manually scan the computer. The whole process is automated.
