How to print from iPhone and iPad devices

Just like Android and Windows devices, Apple devices utilizing the Macintosh Operating System can also issue print jobs from iPhone and iPad devices through wireless connectivity options. In this guide, we will show you how to print from iPhone and iPad devices easily using AirPrint or Google Cloud Print services.

Using AirPrint

Apple AirPrint is a versatile printing feature for Apple devices that lets end clients print from an iPad, iPhone (3GS or later) or iPod contact (third-gen or later). AirPrint communicates straightforwardly with AirPrint-empowered printers on a similar Wi-Fi network. Furthermore, iOS gadgets can utilize AirPrint to print to printers shared by a Mac OS X PC or a work area PC.

Steps to print from iPhone and iPad devices using AirPrint:

1. First, open the application from where you want to print.
2. To find the option to print, tap on or or click on
3. Navigate or scroll downwards and find the (Print) option.
4. If you cannot find the print option, then view the documentation of the particular app. All apps do not support AirPrint.
5. Tap on “Select Printer” and choose AirPrint-enabled printer.You may now adjust the various parameters before printing, like the number of pages, quality of the print, etc.

Using Google Cloud Print

To begin the cloud printing setup, please follow the steps below:

1. Open Google Chrome browser on your Mac device, iPad or iPhone.
2. Click on the menu in the top-right corner of your browser. It will look like a hamburger with three horizontal lines stacked upon each other.
3. Click Settings, then go to Advanced.
4. Scroll down and navigate to Printing-> Google Cloud Print.
5. Click Manage Cloud Print Services. Then click on Register next to the corresponding printer that you want to add to the Google cloud printing services.
6. Once set up, click Confirm.
7. If you have a classic or legacy printer that can still take advantage of Google Cloud printing services, then go to Manage Cloud Print Services -> Classic Printers and select Add printers. If your printer is displayed in that panel, click on Add printer(s) button to add the printer.
