How to set up HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer

In this guide, we will show you how to set up HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer and install the printer software to get started with the printing and scanning jobs. Please follow the guide carefully to correctly install your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer without any problems.

Step 1: Unpack and configure the printer

  1. First, open the seal of the printer packaging box and take out the printer.
  2. Remove the plastic tape and packaging materials from the body of the printer.
  3. Open the paper tray and carefully remove the blue packaging tapes from the inner body of the printer. Be careful not to put too much force on the body of the printer since the inner body contains sensitive and fragile components.
  4. Take out the power cord from the box. Connect one end of the power cord to the rear end of the printer and the other end of the power cord to the electrical outlet on your wall.
  5. Now take out the ink cartridges from the packaging box.
  6. Remove the plastic packaging and also the orange seal which is at the bottom of the ink cartridge. Be careful not to put too much pressure when removing the packaging materials.
  7. Switch on the printer and open the rear paper tray.
  8. Insert a stack of conveniently sized paper into the rear paper tray.
  9. Open the front paper output tray of the printer.
  10. Open the ink cartridge chamber of the printer. Allow some time for the ink cartridge chamber to come into position before installing the cartridges.
  11. First, install the black ink cartridge by carefully pushing it into its chamber until it locks into position.
  12. Repeat the same step as above for the colour cartridge.
  13. Close the ink cartridge chamber.
  14. Now the printer will print a print alignment page. Once the printout is complete, take out the alignment paper and put it on the scanner page with the alignment printed page facing downwards.
  15. Press the copy button once. The printer will finish the final stages of the alignment process.

Step 2: Install the printer software

  1. Now that the setup of the printer hardware is complete, we can move on to the installation of the printer software.

  3. Create an HP account and complete the registration of your printer.
  4. Connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network.
  5. After the installation is complete, you can use HP Smart software to issue printing and scanning jobs to the printer and also copy files, print remotely, sign up for HP Insta Ink and do lots more.

Step 3: Add the printer to your HP Support Dashboard

You can access special HP Support features if you add your printer to the HP Support Dashboard.
