How to setup HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer
In this guide, we will show you how to set up HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 printer and install its software. Please follow the guide carefully to successfully install your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer.
Step 1: Remove the printer from the box
- Open the box and take out the printer.
- Remove all the packaging tapes from the outer body of the printer. Then remove the thin film that covers the printer’s control panel.
- Rotate the printer and remove all the packaging tapes from the rear side of the printer/access panel.
- Recycle the packaging materials.
Step 2: Establish power connectivity and configure your preferences
- Take out the power cord from the package.
- Connect one end of the power cord to the rear side of the printer. Plug in the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet.
- Switch on the printer.
- On the control panel of the printer, press the down arrow to select your desired language and country/region. Then, press

Step 3: Load a paper stack into the input tray of the printer
- Pull out the paper input tray from the printer.
- Slide out the paper guides to the farthest extremities.
- Load a stack of paper in portrait orientation with the print side facing down.
- Now slide in the paper guides until they softly touch the edges of the paper stack. Do not side in the paper guides too tightly.
- Ensure that the paper stack remains within the paper fill guide or marker.
- Insert the input tray back into the printer.
Step 4: Install the ink cartridges into the printer
- Pull open the ink cartridge access door which is located on the top side of the printer.
- Please be patient while the cartridge carriage moves into position. Continue when the carriage is idle.
- Take out the ink cartridges from the package.
- Insert the cartridge into its slot on the cartridge carriage. Push the cartridge forward until the cartridge clicks into its position.
- Repeat the above step for the other printer cartridge.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Once the above steps are complete, the printer will print an alignment page to complete the hardware setup process.
Step 5: Install the printer software
- Open your web browser.
- Visit http://123.hp.com/OJP8210 to find and download the latest software version of the printer software.
- Once the download completes, visit the Downloads folder of the browser. Locate the installer file and double-click on it to open the installer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts or instructions to complete installing the printer software on your computer.
- Now your computer is ready to issue printing jobs to the printer. The installation of your printer is successful.
