How to set up the HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer : Follow the steps below to configure and set up the HP Envy 6055 All-In-One Printer.

Step 1: Unpacking the printer and establishing physical connections

1. Firstly, remove the tapes from the package cover to unbox the package of the printer.
2. Take out the printer very slowly and carefully. Take out the power cord and the power adapter. Now, start removing the tapes on the printer’s body.
3. Carefully take out the paper tray and remove the tapes protecting the paper tray.
4. Open the scanner pad and remove the tapes and the protective packing materials on the scanner bed.
5. Once completed, re-assemble all the parts back into their position to complete the unboxing. Make sure not to dispose of the printer’s packing box to support during the warranty period.

Be extremely careful when dissembling the printer parts and removing the tapes and packaging components from the printer. There are sensitive components that can get easily damaged if mishandled by you.

Step 2: Connecting to the power source, installing cartridges, and loading paper

Connect the power cord to the rear-side of your HP ENVY 6055 printer. Then, connect the other end of the power cord to the power outlet. The printer should turn on automatically.

Step 3: Connect the printer to the computer

You may establish a wireless connection or a USB connection between the printer and your computer. After this step, you need to install HP Smart on your computer and add your HP ENVY 6055 printer.

1. Ensure that both the printer and the computer are connected to the same wireless network.
2. If you want a wired USB connection, then connect your computer and your printer using the provided USB cable.
3. Switch on your computer. Open your web browser and install HP Smart from here: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9wzdncrfhwlh
4. Open HP Smart, click Continue then click Yes or
5. Click the sign and select your printer in Set-Up mode or USB connected.
6. If your printer is not selected, click on Set up a new printer.
7. Now follow the instructions on your display to complete the setup of the HP ENVY 6055 printer.

Step 4: Insert the paper in the paper tray of the printer

1. Load a stack of paper into the paper tray. To do this, pull the tray out, shift the markers to the extreme ends and insert the stack of paper into the tray.
2. Push the paper stack until it stops going in any further.
3. Remember that the paper should slide in easily against the given guides. Do not make the tray too tight for the paper to slide in.
4. Lift the cartridge access door carefully. The cartridges should move to the left for enabling easier access to change or add new cartridges.
5. Please wait while the mechanical movements stop and the system is physically silent.
6. Unpack the print cartridges from the package. Remember and be careful- touch only the black part or the plastic area of the cartridge. The other areas are sensitive to touch and may damage your cartridge. Never touch the copper areas or the ink nozzle.
7. Remove the plastic tape from the ink cartridge.
8. Insert the cartridge in its tray with the nozzle facing towards the printer. Close the cartridge lid until you can hear a snapping or locking sound.
9. Repeat these steps for the second cartridge.
10. Once done, gently lower and shut the cartridge access door of the printer.

The printer is now ready to take print-outs from your computer.
