Troubleshooting ESET Antivirus issues on Windows

After upgrading Windows to Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018 Update), some users may face issues with ESET Antivirus. The following error messages may display:

  1. Modules failed to load.
  2. Antivirus Protection is Nonfunctional

Workaround:

ESET Antivirus scanner module 1539.1 is used to temporarily fix the issue of module loading. This module deactivates the protected service on Windows 10 1803 in 32-bit systems. Please check for the module update from here: https://support.eset.com/kb3212/. After this, restart the machine for the changes to fully reflect.

To update the scanner module in a manual method, go to Updates->Check for Updates.

If you are affected by this issue, the Protected services will be re-enabled after updating the ESET Module when Microsoft and ESET manage to jointly make a solution for this issue.

  1. You have entered a wrong activation code or license key.
  2. The license key is already in use.
  3. Additional information may be necessary to activate your license.
  4. The connection to ESET servers is disabled.
  5. There may be a temporary communication issue with the ESET activation database. You may try again after a few minutes.
