How to set up HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer

Step 1: Unpacking the printer and establishing a physical connection

1. Unpack the printer’s package box.
2. Open the box and carefully take out the printer inside. Remove the sealing tapes from the body of the printer.
3. Take out the connecting cables and the power adapter of the printer from the box.
4. Pull out the paper tray and remove all the sealing tapes from the tray. Be careful and don’t use much force.
5. Open the scanner lid and take out the sealing tapes from the lid and the scanner pad.
6. After removing all the sealing materials, re-position all the printer parts to their original positions. The unpacking of your printer is now complete.

Be careful when handling the printer and removing the sealing tapes. There are sensitive parts within the printer and using excessive force or mishandling can damage the sensitive parts.

Now connect your printer to your computer. Connect one end of the power cord to your HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer. Then, plug in the other end of the power cord to your computer to establish the connection between the printer and the computer.

Step 2: Downloading and installing printer driver and software

Switch on your computer and download HP Smart for your printer.

1. Open your web browser and visit the page on the URL: http://123.hp.com/OJ250
2. This page is for HP Smart app download. Click on the button Install HP Smart to begin downloading and installing HP Smart app on your computer.
3. After the download finishes, go to the Downloads folder of your browser.
4. Double-click on the HP Smart installation file to begin installing the app on your computer.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installing HP Smart. After this step, click Set up a New Printer to add your HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer in the printer list.
6. Follow the instructions to complete the setup of the printer.

For downloading HP Smart through the official Microsoft Store for Windows

1. In the Windows taskbar on the desktop, look for the search bar and click on it.
2. Search for Microsoft Store using the search bar. Hit Enter to open the Store.
3. In the search bar of the Microsoft Store, type HP Smart and then hit Enter.
4. Click on HP Smart app and let it open. Then, click Install to begin installing HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.
5. Please be patient while the installation process is complete.
6. Once the installation completes, click on the Start icon on the left corner of the desktop screen. Click on HP Smart menu item to open HP Smart app.
7. Click Set up a New Printer to add your HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer in the printer list.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen as they appear to finish configuring your HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer using HP Smart.

Now you can issue printing jobs to your computer using HP HP DeskJet 2724 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Color Printer.
