How to install McAfee LiveSafe: To install McAfee LiveSafe on your Windows 11 computer, follow the steps below.
Log in to your McAfee account from your computer
- Go to McAfee’s official website from http://home.mcafee.com/
- Click on
- Do either of the following:
- Type the email address and password for your McAfee account to log in.
- If you do not have an existing account, click on the Register Now button to register for a new account at McAfee. Enter your details such as First name, last name, and email, and then proceed to continue.
- Remember to associate a strong password with your account. A weak password may lead to your account getting compromised.
- Read the License Agreement and Privacy Policy and accept them to proceed.
Download and install McAfee LiveSafe
- On the main page of the website, click on the Download button.
- The My Account page will open.
- Select McAfee LiveSafe and choose either of the options based on the type of system that you have:
- Personal Computer (PC)
- Mac
- Click on the Download button and follow the instructions to download the McAfee LiveSafe application to your computer.
Installing on a mobile device
Log in to your McAfee account from your mobile device
- Go to McAfee’s official website from http://home.mcafee.com/
- Click on
- Do either of the following:
- Type the email address and password for your McAfee account to log in.

Download and install McAfee LiveSafe on your mobile device
- Click The My Account page will now open.
- Select the option McAfee LiveSafe, and then choose
- Do either of the following action:
- To install McAfee LiveSafe on the current device, click Follow the on-screen instructions to install the McAfee application.
- To install the application on a different device, click Send Link. Then, do the following:
- To receive a download link to your new device, enter any one option from the following: either your email address or your phone number to receive the SMS.
- You will now receive an email or an SMS to the mobile device associated with the download option. Click on the download link in the given email or SMS. Then follow the instructions to complete the installation of McAfee LiveSafe software on your mobile phone.

Note: Before installing the app from an app store, ensure that you have an account registered with McAfee at http://home.mcafee.com/ and that you have logged in at least once. Also, if you are using a retail card, ensure that you are using the same email address and password that you have associated with the retail card purchase for each device to redeem it.
