Not able to login to Windstream Email

- Connect to your Windstream email account.
- Login with the correct username and password of your Windstream account.
- If the Windstream server is experiencing a downtime, allow some time and try again later.
- Verify whether your Windstream account is still active. You may do so after logging in to your account.
- Navigate to My Account & Support and go to Manage My Account.
- Enter your correct account username and password in the following page fields.
- Click
- Click on Change username, password, and email account.
- Click I forgot my password.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
- Now try to sign into your Windstream account using the new password.
Unable to send emails through SMTP server using Windstream
If you are using Windows Live Mail client, you may face this issue a lot.
Follow the steps below to resolve this problem:
- Launch Windows Live Mail by clicking on its icon on the taskbar. If it is not available on the taskbar, click on the Windows button at the bottom-left corner and click on Windows Live Mail to open it.
- Right-click on your email address.
- Click Properties tab and then the Servers
- Select My server requires authentication.
- Navigate to Advanced
- In the Outgoing Server Port field, enter the value
- Click on
- Compose a new email and try to send it.

Requires authentication – Yes
Both the incoming and outgoing mail servers will require strict authentication. So make sure to enable authentication using both username and password on the outgoing mail server as well.
